Michigan Hooks and Bullets Product Review.
Deer attractants, Lures or estrus scents, all come in the form of a product that makes the claim they work. Some may, most don't. The only thing they do well is to get your money and give you a false sense of hope that the trophy buck of your lifetime will be walking out in front of you at any second. Fancy bottles, strings and hooks, gadgets of all kinds, dripping devices and dragging units are just a few of the methods used and recommended for your best chance of success! We have all tried them or know someone who has and our skepticism is with good foundation. So, this spring when I met Joel at the Traverse City Hunting! Fishing Expo, I didn't believe too much of what he was trying to sell me. "Hi, I'm Joel Eiseler of Heart Stopper Synthetics. Have you ever used any deer attractants before?" That question got me going, as I am one of those who have tried several with-out much success. I listened to his sales pitch about this "new, year-round deer attractant" he created. "Incomparable to anything else" he said. Now I'm thinking, "Field Test," so that's what I did. With several bottles in hand I went out and gave 5 friends bottles and ask for their results. The product is an 8ounce bottle of Heart Stopper Synthetics that retails for under $12.00. It is a 100% synthetic (man made), year-round, deer attractant, mixed and bottled in Kalkaska MI. by avid outdoors enthusiast Joel Eiseler and his wife Robyn. They have been testing their product for 1-2 years to attract deer and, for separation and against the elements. They
have concluded that their is no separation of the ingredients and it is unaffected by the elements, (which will account for an endless shelf life), and that deer are attracted to the area where ever it is spilled.
From March to August 07' we spilled Heart Stopper Synthetics wherever we could and we all had the same results. Day after day, month after month, location after location, the deer continually, Tore-It-Up! As a "Deer Attractant", bucks and does both were constantly drawn to the spot during the 6 months that we tested. I poured some in the grass 3 feet from my sliding glass door and the next morning I had a spot of dirt, twice as big as the area where I had poured it and the grass was gone. I think they ate it!
